Happy Birthday, Jacob!

Jacob turned 5 today. Hard to believe that 5 years ago right now I had a brand new baby to take care of and raise. Well, he's now 5 and turning into quite the little man. He has such a personality and cracks me up on a daily basis. Here are a few pictures of him along the way!! :-)

This is Jacob on the night he was born, just after his very 1st bath. He was 8 pounds 13.6 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. He had a head full of black hair!! :-)
Here he is at about 4 1/2 months old....just hanging out on the couch!!

This is Jacob's 1 year old picture. His hair was starting to curl up a little in the back. We had to give him this book to play with because he wouldn't sit still (a precursor for the future, I think). Turned out to be one of my favorite pictures.

This is Jacob when he was 18 months old. We had fun playing dress up for these pics. He thought this little truck was the funnest thing!!

Here is Jacob at 2 years old. Little did we know that this would be our last "family photo" with just us in it. Larry and I met just a few weeks before this was taken....7 months later we were a family of 3! :-)

This is Jake and me on our wedding day. He was 2 1/2 years old.

Here is Jacob at 3 years old. He's starting to lose that baby look and starting to look like a little boy....bittersweet, I must admit. :-)

Here is our little family of 3....soon to be 4! Jacob is almost 3 1/2 in this picture. Abe was born just a month later. :-)

This is Jacob at 4 years old. He got his hair cut right before we took this picture and the stylist put some gel in his hair. He was loving how cool he looked!! :-)

This picture was taken this past summer. He is 4 1/2 here. Larry was in Iraq when these were done, so we added the flag in and sent a few of these to him over there to show him how much we loved and supported him.

And here he is today!! :-) We aren't celebrating his birthday until Saturday when Larry gets home, but I wanted him to have something on his birthday, so I gave him one of the leftover cupcakes from his school party with a candle in it. Yes, I know the candle is pink, but it's all I had!! :-) Abe and I sang him Happy Birthday and then he blew out the candle. His crown is from his school party. We went to Sonic and the convenience store after he ate his cupcake and he insisted on wearing his crown!! :-) He got a free sucker out of it at the store, so I guess it was worth it! HAHA

Happy Birthday, Jacob! What a wonderful 5 years it's been with this little man in my life! I love you, Baby!!!
